This jacket is made from a silk kimono roll.

It offers you the opportunity to wear authentic and beautifully patterned kimono fabric in your everyday life.

Wearing kimono in the traditional way takes experience and time, and it requires many accessories such as strings, pads, and special underwear.
With this kimono jacket, you can easily wear kimono silk for every day use without losing the image and feeling of kimono.
Its one-size-fits-all design is suitable for various body sizes.
(The model in this photo is US size 8 and 5.3ft= 160 cm)

We are creating the kimono jacket from exquisite high-quality unused silk kimono rolls which originally sold for US$1,000-$6,000 or more. They were made by a variety of traditional techniques, including hand-painting, hand-weaving, and Katazome.

The jackets are cut and sewed from rolls of kimono silk by skilled Japanese craftsmen.

A. Tsujigahana
Tsujigahana is a traditional method of silk dyeing invented in the 16th century.
Through delicate tie-dye techniques, the outlines of patterns become fuzzy borderlines that create a dreamlike effect.

B. Katazome
Katazome is a method of kimono dyeing that combines stencil and wax dyeing techniques, using patterned paper and rice glue to protect selected areas from dye. Katazome was one of the most popular methods in the Edo era.

C.Hand painted Sarasa
Sarasa is a name for patterns influenced by
textiles imported from South Asia in the 16-17th centuries, brought by European traders.
These were admired as exotic patterns and used for tea ceremony, and then spread to become a genre of kimono patterns.
